When a group of surfers chase rumours of perfect waves to an uncharted island in the Pacific, they quickly discover they are far from welcome. What begins as an adrenaline-fuelled adventure darkens into a desperate struggle against forces — human and perhaps something far older — that guard the island's secrets. Drawing on imagery of lost tribes and nuclear-scarred landscapes, the film layers geopolitical dread beneath its survival-horror premise. The further the group ventures inland, the clearer it becomes that some places are left off maps for a reason.
