The premise
An angel under the thumb of a ruthless gangster is saved by a trumpet player down on his luck.

A down-and-out jazz trumpeter stumbles into a dangerous underworld when he encounters a mysterious woman with a secret that defies all logic. Caught between a predatory crime lord and a fragile hope he can barely believe in, he must decide how far he'll go to protect something otherworldly. Dark, slow-burning, and steeped in a faded noir atmosphere, Passion Play blurs the line between fantasy and grim reality.
