In an alternate-history world where vampires have long lived alongside humanity as a revered priestly class, an uneasy peace is suddenly threatened when one of their own goes rogue. A human detective and her vampire partner must navigate political tension, street-level danger, and a spreading sickness to track down the renegade before two civilisations are dragged into open conflict. The film wraps its creature-feature DNA in a richly realised retro-futurist aesthetic — think gas-lit streets, period machinery, and a society on the brink. It's an ambitious genre hybrid that favours mood and world-building over straightforward scares.
