Set against the misty Welsh countryside of the 1970s, Rabbit Trap follows a couple whose music-making unwittingly stirs something old and dangerous lurking in the land around them. A mysterious child appears at their door, and what begins as an eerie intrusion slowly tightens into something far more threatening. Dev Patel and Rosy McEwen anchor this folk horror slow burn with a palpable sense of creeping unease. The film draws on the power of sound and place to conjure dread from the landscape itself.
