“He would kill to have you all to himself.”
Directed by Lawrence Fowler
The premise
When a robotics expert channels the grief of losing his 11 year-old son into building 'Robin', a fully functioning robotic doll, a series of horrific events makes it clear Robin will do whatever it takes to have his creator all to himself.
Horror Vault's take
After the devastating loss of his young son, a robotics expert pours his heartbreak into building Robin — a lifelike robotic doll designed to fill an unbearable void. What begins as a father's act of mourning slowly curdles into something far more sinister as Robin develops a possessive, all-consuming attachment to his creator. Terrifying events escalate around those closest to the grieving man, and it becomes horrifyingly clear that this doll will tolerate no rivals. Rob1n blends the eerie uncanny valley of killer-toy horror with a raw emotional core of parental grief.
