The premise
After his family moves to a new house, a young boy discovers a mysterious book that details a curse hanging over the date of Saturday the 14th. Opening the book releases a band of monsters into the house and the family must join together to save themselves and their neighborhood.

When a family moves into an inherited house, their youngest son stumbles upon an ancient book tied to a very unlucky date — and reading it turns out to be a terrible idea. Monsters of every variety begin overrunning the property, and the whole household is pulled into a increasingly chaotic battle to reclaim their home. This gleefully silly spoof plays horror tropes for laughs, making it a creature-feature send-up with a distinctly early-80s family-friendly edge. Think less screaming and more slapstick as the suburban nightmare unfolds.
