The premise
After surviving the electric chair, convicted serial killer Max Seed is buried alive. He digs himself out of the grave and goes on a killing spree. Taking revenge on the men who put him there and random unfortunates alike.

When the state's attempts to execute prolific serial killer Max Seed fail to finish the job, the killer claws his way back from the grave with nothing left to lose. What follows is a savage, unrelenting rampage as Seed hunts down those responsible for his fate — and anyone else unlucky enough to cross his path. Uwe Boll's 2006 shocker leans hard into extreme violence and bleak nihilism, offering no easy comfort to its characters or its audience. It is not a film for the faint-hearted.
