The premise
A Danish family visits a Dutch family they met on a holiday. What was supposed to be an idyllic weekend slowly starts unraveling as the Danes try to stay polite in the face of unpleasantness.

A Danish couple and their young daughter accept a weekend invitation from charming Dutch acquaintances met on holiday, only to find the warm reunion curdling into something deeply wrong. What begins as minor social discomfort escalates into a suffocating exercise in dread, where the instinct to remain polite becomes the most dangerous impulse of all. The film is a slow-burn dissection of how far people will endure cruelty before they push back — and what happens when the answer is: too far.
