In the shadow of the Soviet space race, a cosmonaut returns from a disastrous mission as the sole survivor — but he may not have come back alone. A sharp-minded psychologist is summoned to assess him, only to uncover something far beyond standard trauma or mental illness. What follows is a slow, suffocating game of secrets between scientists, soldiers, and something that defies classification. Sputnik is a patient, character-driven creature feature that earns its scares through dread rather than spectacle.
