The premise
In 1984, a Russian research team goes below the surface to find out what secret the world's deepest borehole is hiding. On their expedition, something unexpectedly gruesome awaits the researchers.

Set during the Soviet era, a team of researchers descends into the Kola Superdeep Borehole — the deepest artificial hole ever drilled — only to discover that something ancient and horrifying has been waiting in the dark far below the Earth's surface. As the expedition pushes deeper, the line between scientific curiosity and catastrophic mistake begins to blur. What starts as a mystery locked underground quickly becomes a desperate struggle for survival against a threat that defies everything the team thought they knew about life itself. Claustrophobic dread and creeping body horror make this a relentless slow-burn nightmare.
