Set in the dying days of World War II, this Italian nazisploitation entry thrusts prisoners of war into the hands of SS officers conducting brutal experiments aimed at engineering a so-called perfect Aryan race. Infamous as a UK Video Nasty, the film leans heavily into shock and exploitation territory, combining wartime horror with graphic and deeply uncomfortable content. It is a product of the 1970s Italian grindhouse circuit, designed to provoke and disturb in equal measure.
