The premise
Teenagers Zach and Josh have been best friends their whole lives, but when a gruesome accident leads to a cover-up, the secret drives a wedge between them and propels them down a rabbit hole of escalating paranoia and violence.

Set in the grey suburban sprawl of 1990s New York, Super Dark Times follows two lifelong teenage friends whose bond begins to rot from the inside after a single catastrophic moment they choose to bury in silence. What unfolds is a suffocating portrait of guilt quietly curdling into something far more dangerous, as trust erodes and the familiar world of high school hallways and winter streets turns threatening. Director Kevin Phillips wrings genuine dread from mundane settings, crafting a coming-of-age story where the real monster may be what unchecked secrets do to a person.
