In this cyberpunk follow-up to the cult classic original, an ordinary Japanese salaryman is pushed to his absolute limits when a brutal street gang tears his family apart. His anguish and fury trigger something monstrous within him — a grotesque, escalating fusion of flesh and metal that defies the boundaries of the human body. Director Shinya Tsukamoto cranks up the colour, scale, and feverish energy, delivering a louder and more visceral experience than its predecessor. What unfolds is a hallucinatory descent into violence where the line between man and weapon dissolves entirely.
