A mother travels to the sun-scorched villages of southern Italy with her daughter to meet her fiancé's family, only to find herself entangled in dark local traditions she cannot fully understand. Something ancient and malevolent has set its sights on the child, and the further the mother digs into the region's superstitions, the more suffocating the danger becomes. Equal parts domestic thriller and supernatural folk horror, the film uses its Italian countryside setting to make the familiar feel deeply, quietly wrong.
