The premise
A spree of grisly murders is perpetrated in Frankfurt by a group of Satan worshippers. A lonely schoolteacher almost runs over an elderly man and takes him in, unbeknown to her the man has plans for her – plans that involve a permanent future with the Satanic cult.

After a chance encounter leads her to offer shelter to a mysterious elderly stranger, she finds herself drawn into a web of occult terror she never saw coming. Director Michele Soavi crafts a visually stylish Italian horror steeped in dread and dark ceremony, blending cult paranoia with surreal nightmare imagery. What begins as an act of kindness slowly reveals itself to be anything but accidental.
