A small documentary crew ventures into the remote wilderness to investigate a string of savage killings that locals have whispered about for decades. What begins as a quest for journalistic truth quickly unravels as the filmmakers discover the legend surrounding the Black Water murders may be far more real — and far more dangerous — than anyone warned them. Blending found-footage intimacy with vampire mythology rooted in regional folklore, the film turns the camera itself into a liability. The deeper the crew digs, the clearer it becomes that some secrets are kept for a reason.
