The premise
Vampires have come out of the shadows and are living as normal citizens. Two policemen, one a vampire, are assigned to track down a serial killer who tears the throat of his victims and drains their blood.

In a near-future world where vampires have stepped out of the darkness and into society, an uneasy alliance forms between a human detective and his vampire partner as they hunt a killer leaving a trail of exsanguinated bodies. The case forces both men to confront deep-seated mistrust while the threat grows ever closer. Part noir thriller, part creature feature, The Breed blends genre conventions into a stylish, blood-soaked police procedural with fangs.
