The premise
A group of potential heirs gather in a forbidding old house to learn which of them will inherit a fortune. Later, they learn that a flesh-rending maniac is loose.

When a reclusive eccentric's will is finally read, a colourful cast of relatives descends on a gloomy, remote mansion — each convinced the fortune should be theirs. Backstabbing and dark humour fill the drawing rooms, but the stakes turn deadly when word spreads that a dangerous fugitive may be lurking within the estate's shadowy walls. This stylish late-seventies remake of a classic stage whodunit leans into both the laughs and the lurking dread, keeping its ensemble of suspects gloriously on edge.
