The premise
In the wake of the end of the world, a family of four desperately tries to survive. Their goal: escaping the city and traveling to the rural community they once called home. The constant threat of a violent death forcing them to stay as far away from civilization as possible, they take to the forest, soon to discover the danger posed by other survivors may be the least of their worries.
Horror Vault's take
When civilization falls, a family of four abandons the ruins of the city and pushes into the wilderness, hoping to reach the safety of a rural home they once knew. The deeper into the forest they travel, the more they realize that hostile survivors are not the only predators hunting them. Low on resources and high on desperation, every step forward peels back another layer of creeping dread. Something in the dark defies easy explanation — and it is closing in.
