The premise
At night the Mangler stalks the streets of Los Angeles, killing and mutilating random victims. On the trail are a TV reporter, the father of one of the victims, and a police detective, but despite their efforts only the mysterious psychic DeRenzy knows what the killer is and how to stop it.

Something inhuman prowls the streets of Los Angeles after dark, leaving a trail of mutilated victims in its wake. A grieving father, a driven TV journalist, and a dogged detective converge on the same terrifying investigation — each chasing answers from a different angle. The only person who may truly understand what they're facing is a mysterious psychic whose knowledge of the killer is unsettlingly specific. This late-70s creature feature blends urban noir grit with science fiction menace for an unusual genre hybrid.
