The premise

In Italy, a woman becomes involved in a series of unauthorized exorcisms during her mission to discover what happened to her mother, who allegedly murdered three people during her own exorcism.

A young American woman travels to Rome seeking answers about her mother, who has been institutionalized in a Vatican facility following a violent incident tied to her own exorcism years earlier.
