When a group of Theta Pi sorority seniors pull a cruel prank on their strict house mother that goes fatally wrong, they find themselves trapped in a nightmare of their own making. As the night of their graduation party unfolds, someone — or something — begins hunting them down one by one. Equal parts whodunit and slasher, the film builds a slow-burn atmosphere of dread that sets it apart from many of its early-80s peers. The sorority house itself becomes a claustrophobic trap as panic and paranoia fracture the sisterhood from within.
