In the long light of a Scandinavian summer, a group of children forge an unlikely friendship and quietly begin to discover they possess extraordinary abilities hidden from the adults around them. What begins as curious, wide-eyed experimentation gradually darkens as the boundaries between play and something far more dangerous start to dissolve. Norwegian director Eskil Vogt crafts a deeply unsettling portrait of childhood that refuses to sanitise the capacity for harm lurking beneath innocent surfaces. The film is a slow, creeping descent that trusts its young cast to carry genuine menace.
