The premise

Kitty Carroll, an attractive store model, volunteers to become a test subject for a machine that will make her invisible so that she can use her invisibility to exact revenge on her ex-boss.

Horror Vault's take

A spirited store model volunteers for a mad scientist's invisibility machine with a very personal score to settle, turning the classic Universal monster concept on its head with screwball flair. Gangsters, bumbling henchmen, and a eccentric professor round out a romp that plays the sci-fi premise almost entirely for laughs. Part of the golden age of Universal's monster pictures, it swaps dread for delight without losing the period charm that defines the era.
