The premise

Amanda's deathbed request to her son, John, was for him to destroy all the lab notes etc. from her last experiment. She also blurts out he had a brother. At the funeral John meets Melissa, who claims to be his mother's biggest fan. Together with some of John's friends they go to Amanda's house, but none are prepared for what they find there.

When his mother dies with a cryptic final confession, John heads to her remote house to carry out her last wishes — only to discover that her life's work left behind something far worse than lab notes. Joined by friends and a mysterious woman who claims to admire his mother's research, the group quickly learns that some scientific legacies are better left buried. This late-eighties creature feature leans hard into practical effects and gooey monster mayhem, delivering the kind of visceral horror that defined the era.
