The premise

After years of performing “exorcisms” and taking believers’ money, Reverend Marcus travels to rural Louisiana with a film crew so he can dispel what he believes is the myth of demonic possession. The dynamic reverend is certain that this will be another routine “exorcism” on a disturbed religious fanatic but instead comes upon the blood-soaked farm of the Sweetzer family and a true evil he would have never thought imaginable.

Horror Vault's take

A charismatic but disillusioned reverend invites a documentary crew to follow him on what he expects to be his final, fraud-exposing exorcism — a cynical last act meant to unmask the whole practice as theater. Deep in the Louisiana backwoods, the Sweetzer family farm greets them with something far darker than a troubled congregation member. What begins as a debunking exercise spirals into a genuinely terrifying confrontation that puts the reverend's hardened skepticism to the ultimate test. Shot in a raw, pseudo-documentary style, the film draws you in with character before unleashing its dread.
