The premise

When a teenage boy and his family relocate to the sun-soaked California coast, he finds himself seduced by a dangerously cool gang with a very dark secret. His younger brother, armed with comic-book know-how and two eccentric allies, suspects something is deeply wrong before it's too late. Equal parts MTV-era attitude and genuine vampire menace, The Lost Boys defined a generation's idea of horror cool. This is 1980s genre filmmaking firing on all cylinders — slick, funny, and surprisingly biting.
