Set in the 1970s, a commanding Oxford professor recruits a small team — including a cameraman who documents everything — to conduct an unorthodox study on a deeply troubled young woman. The experiment is designed to prove that paranormal phenomena have purely psychological origins, but as the sessions grow increasingly extreme, the line between science and madness begins to blur. What starts as clinical investigation soon spirals into something far more dangerous than any of them anticipated.
