When a sailing trip off the Australian coast turns catastrophic, a small group of survivors finds themselves stranded in open water with no good options and a very large predator circling below. Based on a true incident, The Reef strips away any Hollywood comfort, trading spectacle for suffocating, sun-drenched dread. Every decision the characters make feels painfully real, and the ocean itself becomes as much of an antagonist as the creature beneath its surface. It is lean, unrelenting survival horror at its most exposed.
