Still raw from a devastating personal loss, Nic joins her sister and close friends on a remote Pacific kayaking trip hoping the open water might offer some kind of healing. Instead, the group finds themselves hunted by a great white shark with nothing but their kayaks between them and the deep. Equal parts grief drama and nerve-shredding creature feature, the film uses the ocean's vast indifference to mirror its characters' emotional wounds. Survival here demands not just physical endurance but the will to fight when life has already felt unbearable.
