The premise
A priest battles a demon that kills sinners in the act of sinning.

When a New Orleans priest survives a seemingly impossible fall, he is assigned to a troubled parish with a grim history — and soon discovers something malevolent is preying on those who stray from righteousness. As bodies pile up and the Church's own secrets surface, he must confront a seductive and ancient evil that strikes at the very heart of his faith. The Unholy is a slow-burn supernatural chiller that uses Catholic iconography and moral dread to unsettling effect.
