The premise
An obese lawyer finds himself growing "Thinner" when an old Romani man places a hex on him. Now the lawyer must call upon his friends in organized crime to help him persuade the old man to lift the curse. Time is running out for the desperate lawyer as he draws closer to his own death, and grows ever thinner.

When a well-heeled lawyer's hit-and-run incident draws the wrath of an ancient Romani curse, he begins losing weight at an alarming and unstoppable rate. What begins as an almost ironic punishment quickly spirals into a race against death as his body wastes away and his grip on normal life unravels. Willing to cross dangerous moral lines, he enlists mob connections to force a confrontation with the old man who hexed him — but lifting a curse may prove far harder than earning one. Stephen King's story delivers a slow-burn reckoning where the real horror is not just physical, but deeply personal.
