The premise
Years into their relationship, Tim and Millie find themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country, abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other. With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their flesh.

Tim and Millie escape the familiar by relocating to the remote countryside, hoping a fresh start might mend the fractures in their long-term relationship. What greets them instead is something ancient and deeply wrong — a force that doesn't just threaten their safety, but begins to work its way into who they are, body and soul. Director Dave Franco and star Alison Brie anchor this unsettling romantic horror in raw human emotion, making the supernatural terror feel disturbingly personal. As the couple's bond is tested beyond anything they could have imagined, the film asks a quietly horrifying question: how well can you really know another person when something has gotten inside them?
