The premise
On October 8th, 1983, the Van Heese family gathered together to celebrate the 5th birthday of Michelle, the littlest member of their household. Everything was captured on VHS by Michael McPherson and his new camcorder — including the alien invasion.

Shot on consumer VHS and presented as genuine recovered footage, UFO Abduction drops viewers into an ordinary family birthday party that takes a deeply disturbing turn when something arrives from beyond the sky. The raw, unpolished aesthetic makes the escalating terror feel uncomfortably real — a quality that helped pioneer the found footage format years before it became a mainstream phenomenon. What begins as cheerful domestic home video devolves into a suffocating nightmare of helplessness and dread.
