The premise

A lawyer is asked to come to the police station to clear up a few loose ends in his witness report of a foul murder. "This will only take ten minutes", they say, but it turns out to be one loose end after another, and the ten minutes he is away from his speech become longer and longer.

What begins as a routine police formality spirals into a suffocating battle of wills when a wealthy lawyer finds himself increasingly entangled in a murder investigation he expected to walk away from in minutes. Detectives chip away at his account with methodical precision, and the walls of the interrogation room seem to close in with every contradiction. Gene Hackman and Morgan Freeman deliver a masterclass in psychological chess, turning a single confined space into a pressure cooker of mounting dread. The film asks uncomfortable questions about who we trust — and whether anyone in the room is telling the whole truth.
