A documentary crew embedded with undocumented immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border gets far more than footage when they stumble into the hands of a violent extremist group. What begins as a grounded, socially conscious project rapidly descends into a harrowing ordeal of captivity and cruelty. The film weaponizes the found-footage format to place viewers uncomfortably close to both the terror and the ideology driving it.
