The premise

To save the village from paranormal menaces, the One-Eyebrow Priest deals with and battles a host of mysterious creatures including: a little mischievous Chinese vampire; a lustful female ghost; the spirit of a woman murdered by a club owner and a European vampire and his blood-sucking pet bats.

Horror Vault's take

A Taoist priest with a single eyebrow stands between his village and a chaotic parade of supernatural threats — from a pint-sized Chinese hopping vampire to a vengeful female ghost and, most formidably, a European vampire who plays by entirely different rules. This 1989 Hong Kong horror-comedy gleefully mashes up Eastern and Western monster mythology, leaning hard into slapstick and kung fu action. Lam Ching-Ying anchors the mayhem with his trademark deadpan authority as the beleaguered One-Eyebrow Priest, while a lively supporting cast keeps the comic energy high throughout.
