A gleefully silly send-up of early-80s slasher conventions, Wacko follows a young woman and a fixated detective bracing for the possible return of a notorious killer on the most dangerous night of the school calendar. The film leans hard into broad parody, skewering the tropes that defined a generation of Halloween-night horror. With a game cast of familiar faces playing everything straight-faced for laughs, it's more concerned with landing gags than delivering genuine scares.
