In a remote Argentine village, two brothers stumble upon a horrifying secret rotting away inside a neighboring farmhouse — a demonic presence that has taken gruesome hold of one of its inhabitants. Their clumsy, well-intentioned attempt to contain the threat without following the proper ritual steps proves catastrophic, setting off a chain reaction that tears through their tight-knit rural community. Writer-director Demián Rugna crafts an unrelenting atmosphere of dread rooted in its own ruthless internal logic, where the rules of evil are specific, unforgiving, and not to be broken. This is Argentine folk horror at its most punishing.
