The premise
After Professor McBride learns that the body of his daughter Julie was never found, he takes it upon himself to go on a quest to discover the truth about his daughter's disappearance. With the help of Chava, a young Mexican anthropologist and a cult of old witch ladies, he embarks on a mission to exorcise the body of Julie from the evil soul of La Llorona.

When a grieving professor discovers his daughter's body was never recovered, he refuses to accept the official story and sets out to uncover what truly happened to her. His investigation pulls him deep into Mexican folklore and the terrifying legend of La Llorona — the weeping spirit said to prey on the living. Guided by a local anthropologist and a secretive coven of witches, he pursues a dangerous ritual that blurs the line between the supernatural and the real. Ancient evil has claimed something precious, and getting it back may cost far more than he bargained for.
