A desperate crew of criminals thinks abducting a wealthy young boy for ransom will be their ticket to easy money — but their remote hideout quickly becomes something far more threatening than the law. Strange, inexplicable events begin to unravel the group from within, and the child at the center of it all may not be the helpless victim he appears. Paranoia festers as loyalties crack and the kidnappers realize they may have taken something they were never meant to touch. What begins as a crime thriller steadily darkens into a deeply unsettling battle of wills.
