The premise
Looking to make a splash online with his research videos into the existence of Bigfoot, Jim and his girlfriend Kelly take a camping trip to the small town of Willow Creek, California, and the surrounding mountains where the infamous footage of the supposed sasquatch was filmed.
Horror Vault's take
A couple heads deep into the remote California wilderness — the legendary stomping grounds of Bigfoot — armed with cameras and curiosity. What begins as a lighthearted documentary project gradually tightens into something far more suffocating as the forest refuses to stay quiet after dark. Director Bobcat Goldthwait strips the creature feature down to raw tension, letting the surrounding wilderness do most of the terrifying work. Fans of slow-burn found footage will find the dread creeping up on them before they realize it.
