The premise
The Djinn, having been released from his ancient prison, seeks to capture the soul of the woman who discovered him, thereby opening a portal and freeing his fellow Djinn to take over the earth.

When an ancient gemstone is unearthed, it releases the Djinn — a malevolent, wish-granting entity of terrifying power with a very sinister agenda behind every deal he makes. One woman becomes the creature's obsession and the key to something far worse than anyone could imagine. Packed with wickedly inventive kills and dark humour, Wishmaster revels in the horror of desire twisted against itself. Horror legends pepper the cast, making this a love letter to the genre as much as a creature feature in its own right.
