A vulnerable new mother finds herself isolated in her mother-in-law's imposing old mansion, where a creeping sense of wrongness refuses to be dismissed. Strange rituals, unsettling behavior, and the oppressive atmosphere of the house begin to erode her grip on what is real and what is imagined. What begins as postpartum unease curdles into something far more sinister as dark family secrets inch toward the surface. Both the newborn and the mother may be in far greater danger than anyone is willing to admit.
