The premise
An idyllic peninsula town is under attack by that most invasive of pests: zombies! Port Gamble is being overrun with braineaters, and the people seem powerless to stave them off. But wait, a ragtag band of rebels is trying to turn the tide and push the invading hordes of undead back!

When the sleepy peninsula town of Port Gamble is suddenly overrun by flesh-hungry zombies, its residents are forced to confront both the undead threat and the very human ugliness lurking beneath their neighborly facade. ZMD uses the zombie apocalypse as a sharp satirical lens, skewering racism, religious fanaticism, and post-9/11 fear-mongering with gleeful irreverence. A scrappy group of survivors must band together across social divides — if they can stop turning on each other long enough to fight back. Expect buckets of gore alongside biting social commentary.
