The premise
Shifting from one pocket to another, from one man's drama to another, a lowly dollar bill, 'one buck' takes us on an odyssey through the heart of a forgotten town in Louisiana.

A single dollar bill passes through the hands of strangers in a forgotten Louisiana bayou town, weaving together lives touched by danger, vice, and desperation. Each transaction reveals another layer of a community rotting from within, where a serial killer lurks among the everyday struggles of its inhabitants. The film uses its unconventional narrative device to paint a portrait of rural America where crime and survival are uncomfortably intertwined.
