The premise
Two obsessive-compulsives, a chef and an anorexic writer, are neighbors in an apartment building. The chef (301) tries to entice her neighbor to eat with fabulous meals. The writer (302) refuses to eat, and this refusal begins a turbulent relationship that forces both women to delve into their pasts of torment.
Horror Vault's take
In a Korean apartment building, two women locked in opposing obsessions collide: a passionate chef who finds meaning in feeding others, and a reclusive writer for whom eating has become an act of torment. What begins as a neighborly push-and-pull over meals slowly unravels into a deeply unsettling excavation of buried trauma and psychological wounds. Director Park Chul-soo crafts a quietly harrowing portrait of two damaged psyches mirroring each other across a corridor. This is a slow-burn thriller where the horror is entirely, devastatingly human.
