The premise
A sickly girl Ju-ran transfers to a new sanitorium boarding school to regain health. But she discovers that students are disappearing and notices abnormal changes happening to her body. She suspects the school for what's happening and tries to discover what secret is hidden.

Set against the shadowy backdrop of 1930s Japanese-occupied Korea, a frail young woman enrolls in a remote sanatorium-style boarding school hoping to restore her health — only to find the institution harbors something far more sinister than conventional medicine. Students vanish without explanation while she begins experiencing alarming, inexplicable changes to her own body. Caught between a deepening mystery and her deteriorating sense of self, she must decide how far she'll go to uncover the truth. This Korean period chiller weaves gothic atmosphere with visceral unease to quietly devastating effect.
