The premise
Alpha Male Smith and his Beta, Keith, move to take over a local community. They hook up with restless Female, Denise, igniting a deadly feud in which emotions run high and deep-seated grudges resurface amongst the tribe. Are we not men? Or are we simply beasts?

Shot entirely without dialogue, Aaaaaaaah! plunges viewers into a world where human beings behave with the raw, territorial aggression of great apes — yet inhabit utterly mundane modern surroundings. When a dominant male and his sidekick muscle in on an established social group, the resulting power struggle escalates with savage, darkly comic brutality. Director Steve Oram weaponises the absurd to hold a cracked mirror up to alpha-male posturing and the thin veneer of civilisation. It is equal parts provocation, pitch-black comedy, and genuinely disturbing character study.
