The premise
After a governor issues an executive order to arrest the children of undocumented immigrants, the detained youth are offered an opportunity to have their charges dropped by volunteering to provide care to the elderly. Once inside the elder care facility, however, they discover more twisted secrets than they could have possibly imagined.

But the moment they step inside, something feels deeply, disturbingly wrong about the place and the people running it. What begins as a socially charged thriller steadily curdles into full-blown horror as the volunteers uncover the facility's monstrous true purpose. American Carnage uses its high-concept premise to deliver genre scares wrapped around sharp political commentary.
